Jayden Daniels is preparing to get back on the field this season. Last season's Offensive Rookie of the Year picked up an elbow injury on November 2 in their 38-14 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks.

Even after the team being 3-8 and unlikely to reach the playoffs, the second-year quarterback wants to see some action again in 2025.

“If I’m back out there and I’m healthy and ready to go, I want to be out there,” Daniels said to the media on Tuesday (Time Stamp 0:35).

 

 

Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn has claimed that he is all set to make a comeback to practice this week but has not been cleared for contact. Daniels says that he's been throwing but would not put a concrete timeline on when he may be ready to return. His replacement, Marcus Mariota, has started the last two games, going 20/30 for 213 yards, with a touchdown and an interception in their close 16-13 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins in their previous game.

Daniels has played six games this season, completing 62.5% of his passes for 1,184 yards, with eight touchdowns and two interceptions. The Commanders are riding on a six-game losing streak, placing them third in the NFC East.

Washington Currently sit 17th in the NFL in offensive yards per game averaging 330.2. They will look to finish their streak on Sunday when they face the Denver Broncos.
