Young QB Drake Maye reveals Tom’s key lesson as he battles a shoulder issue heading into Super Bowl Sunday.

Tom Brady's stint of two decades with the New England Patriots made him a franchise legend. Although the iconic quarterback refused to name a side when he analysed his former team's upcoming Super Bowl clash against the Seattle Seahawks.

Big chance for New England Patriots

The Drake Maye-led Patriots are aiming for their first Super Bowl win since Brady's stint with the team. Ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl game, Brady came on the "Let's Go Podcast with Jim Gray." During the episode, Brady said he wanted the best side to emerge  victorious and did not have a "dog in the fight."

NFL expert Gregg Rosenthal called out the former Patriots quarterback in a now-deleted X post.

"That's a nice of saying I'm rooting against the Patriots because it will hurt my feelings if they win."

Although Brady did not pick a team for the Super Bowl, he talked about the Patriots' comeback under coach Mike Vrabel in his first season in New England.

"And I'm glad everyone has embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position," Brady said. We did it for 20 years. There was a little bit of hiatus there, but the Patriots are back, and it's a very exciting time for everyone in New England."

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye reveals best advice he got from Tom Brady

While Tom Brady did not back the Patriots for the Super Bowl clash, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye disclosed the best piece of advice he got from the iconic quarterback. Maye said during the Super Bowl week:

"I met Tom a few times, and one of the best things he said is no shortcuts to it. There's no shortcuts to putting in the work. The proof's in the pudding and knowing that the shortcuts that people take and try to take is not worth it.

"You get the most out of what you put into it, and he's been great at that, and he obviously showed that throughout his career."

Maye, who is facing a shoulder issue, is hoping to repeat the success Brady had with the franchise during his legendary stint.
