Josh Reynolds, a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, was reportedly shot twice after leaving a strip club in the Denver area last week. The shocking incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, leaving Reynolds with injuries to the back of his head and his left arm.

 What Happened

Reynolds and two friends were caught in the shooting outside Shotgun Willie's, a suburban Denver strip club. One of his friends was shot in the back, while another was injured by shattered glass. According to local news outlet 9News, the group was followed as they left the club and were shot at while traveling in a blue Ford Bronco. Police received several 911 calls about the gunfire.

 Eyewitness Accounts

Court documents reveal that neither Reynolds nor his companions experienced any issues inside the strip club. However, they noticed several vehicles tailing them as they headed for the highway, which led to the shooting. Reynolds was hit through the windows of their SUV—once in the left arm and once in the back of the head along Interstate 25, south of downtown Denver. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries shortly after the incident.

 Suspects Arrested

In connection with the shooting, two suspects, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, were arrested. Surveillance footage showed Mendoza’s vehicle closely following Reynolds’ SUV. Charlesworth reportedly told authorities he was just helping a friend who asked him to follow Reynolds due to a previous altercation.

 Broncos' Official Statement

The Broncos issued a statement confirming Reynolds' situation, noting that he missed last Thursday's game against the Saints after being placed on the injured reserve list due to a finger injury. The statement read: “Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries. Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”

 Reynolds' Recovery

Reynolds is currently on the injured reserve list following surgery for a fractured finger he sustained in a game against the Las Vegas Raiders on October 6. Despite the challenges he’s facing, he has been present for team activities this week. This season, he has recorded 12 catches for 183 yards and one touchdown, contributing to his career totals of 232 receptions for 3,116 yards and 20 touchdowns over eight seasons in the NFL. Reynolds has previously played for the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, and Detroit Lions before joining the Broncos.
