Von Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion and linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, has been suspended for four games without pay due to a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy. This follows an incident where he turned himself in to police in Dallas on November 30, 2023, after a warrant was issued for his arrest related to allegations of assault against his pregnant girlfriend.

While Miller has consistently denied the accusations, labeling them as "100% false," the NFL conducted its own investigation despite no criminal charges being filed. An affidavit noted that police observed evidence of minor injuries, but Miller maintained his innocence and publicly stated his hope for the truth to be revealed.

Miller to miss games

Miller will miss four upcoming games, including significant matchups against the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks, and he can return for the Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins. His absence will impact the Bills' defensive strategy, as he has been a key player, recording three sacks this season after recovering from a knee injury.

The Bills will need to rely on their depth, with players like Greg Rousseau and recent addition Zion Logue stepping up in Miller's absence. Despite this setback, Miller’s career remains strong, as he recently surpassed Hall of Famer Dwight Freeney on the all-time sack list, tying with Derrick Thomas at 125.5 career sacks. As the Bills adjust to playing without him, fans and analysts will closely monitor their performance.

The Bills suffered a double blow as theyost their last game 35-10  to the Baltimore Ravens, and now their linebacker has been suspended for four games.  The head coach Sean McDermott still remained optimistic. He praised the team for fighting against all the odds.

“I’ve really been proud of the way the guys have stepped up. They’ve had to deal with quite a few situations... injuries, now in this case the suspension with Von," McDermott said.

As Sunday approaches, the Bills are leaning on Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa to strengthen the defense without Miller. Veteran Dawuane Smoot and rookie Javon Solomon are eager to make the most of their chances. Despite the challenge, the team is united in their goal to tackle the Texans' dynamic offense and build on their impressive 3-1 start to the season.
