Tom Brady cannot escape the backlash as the legendary star is once again under fire for his comments about the Dallas Cowboys star during the franchise’s clash against the Chicago Bears. The surprising remarks left the viewers stunned as the Bears beat the Cowboys and the seven-time Super Bowl champion tried to explain the upsetting situation.

The Bears defeated the Cowboys 31-14 on Sunday night. Dak Prescott's pass deflected off George Pickens' hands which resulted in the ready arms of Tremaine Edmunds for his first of two interceptions in the fourth quarter. Pickens, the Cowboys’ wide receiver, was seemingly upset as he slammed his helmet into the ground.

Brady, who was in FOX’s broadcasting team, went on to explain the player’s reaction but ended up becoming the centre of attention himself. The former New England Patriots player compared the slamming of the helmet to the dog at home, which has sparked an online outrage as if the American football icon seemingly admits to kicking his dog.

Brady, during the broadcast said:

"Those helmets can be... like a dog at home. Kick the dog, throw the helmet. Whatever it takes."

As Brady, the minor owner of the Las Vegas Raiders casually said the sentence, it went viral on the internet with several reactions from people. A user wrote:

“Tom Brady comparing a player slamming his helmet in anger to kicking your dog at home isn't the color commentary I was expecting.”

Skip Bayless, the American sports columnist and commentator known for his tough statements on players, wrote:

“I hope Brady didn't go home after bad losses and angrily throw the dog.”

One wrote:

“Did Tom Brady just say he hits his dog when he’s upset?”

Another remarked:
“Tom Brady out here suggesting he kicks dogs at home during the Chicago Bears game”

Brady has a dog named Fluffy which he and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen rescued in 2016. The former couple also had an old dog named Lua which sadly passed away in 2023.
