The Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani recently became the only player in Major League Baseball (MLB) history to reach the historic 50-50 season. He hasn't stopped as there's still time left in the season to get over as many people wonder whether Ohtani will breach the 60-60 mark and make more history.

What does an MLB analyst think about Shohei Ohtani?

MLB analyst Jared Carrabis feels that Ohtani will not take it easy after reaching the 50-50 mark and will try to breach the 60-60 mark. He said, "He won't stop trying to hit home runs. It's not like he reached 50 and then was like, 'Phew!' It was like, 50? S**t, I got time for 60, let's go!' There was no lull after that, he just kept going, in the same game!"

Former Oakland Athletics star Dallas Braden also has his say on the matter and said, "Shohei Ohtani is not the dude to go, 'Ahh, all right, we're here.' No, he's like, 'Sweet, we're here? Let's go farther. Like that's an absolute psycho."

Ohtani faces an uphill task to reach the elusive number of 60 but it wasn't easy to even get the 50-50 landmark. The Los Angeles star still has time left in favour and has six games more to go.

Will Shohei Ohtani get passed the 60-60 mark?

The Japanese International currently has 53 home runs and 55 stolen bases to his name. He needs seven more home runs and five more stolen bases to breach the 60-60 mark. It can happen but looks far from likely.

While reaching the 50-50 mark, Ohtani had stolen two bases and hit three home runs in the same game. But, that sort of performance doesn't come daily. The remaining six fixtures for the LA Dodgers are against the San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies.

Scoring seven home runs in six games is not difficult for a player like Shohei Ohtani. But the main challenge would be getting both. If Ohtani hits home runs then he would spend less time on first or second base which will make it hard for him to steal in the same game.
