Anthony Davis had one of the worst games of his entire playing career against the OKC Thunder on Friday. The Dallas Mavericks (8-16) lost 132-111 and fell to the 12th seed in the Western Conference, 14.5 games behind the Thunder (22-1) in first.

Davis wraooed yo the game with just two points in 24 minutes. After the game, The forward was questioned about what sets the Thunder apart. After a night of struggles, Davis immediately mentioned the team's defense.

“Defensively, I mean, they’re very good with their hands, they’re very good at throwing them up,” Davis said. “They’re playing really, really good basketball on both ends of the floor. You got to play almost perfect basketball as well. They capitalize on your mistakes.”

 

 

Anthony Davis had a rough start to his 2025-26 season. He is averaging 18.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

While his numbers are pretty good, they are not up to his levels. The 14th year player is currently recording the worst scoring output of his career outside his rookie season.
