After a rough performance against the reigning champion New York Liberty, Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark has sustained an injury. Caitlin Clark To Remain Out for Two Weeks Due to Injury

Indiana added that they will provide further updates on Caitlin Clark, as and when they will be available.

Caitlin Clark had a decent game against the Liberty. She notched 18 points and 10 assists but also committed 10 turnovers. Despite a topsy-turvy performance, Fever were close to winning the game but eventually, they suffered a heartbreaking defeat by two points.

“We are two possessions from being 4-0,” Clark said after the game. “But there were so many little areas of this game we could have improved. Our defense to start this game was poor… It definitely stings, but this is what's going to make us better at the end of the year.”

The Fever are 2-2 with their other loss coming by one to the Atlanta Dream.

The game against New York wasn't all forgettable after all for Caitlin Clark. While she had a hard time in phases and was also at the end of some controversial officiating, yet she was able to modify the history books. Her double-double put her above Chelsea Gray for most by a guard in league history. More impressively, Clark did it in just 44 career regular-season games.

Without their star player, Indiana might suffer more losses over the next couple of weeks, but it will hardly be a reason to panic as the WNBA season is still in its initial phase. Moreover, she will be expected to come out healthy and thus the damage Indiana may get inflicted with in the next two weeks will probably get covered in due course following Clark's return.

Through four games in her second season, Clark is averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game. Indiana will take on the Washington Mystics next. The game will take place on Wednesday.
