When Will Jayson Tatum Return?

While it goes without saying that Jayson Tatum's season is over. Hence, even if the Celtics manage to the better of the Knicks somehow in the series, Tatum will not be there. So, the question that emerges is when will he be completely recovered. Kevin Pelton of ESPN would discuss the conversation, saying that most of the time, it takes 10 and a half months for a player to come back from the injury Tatum had, even saying that a return in the 2026 playoffs is unprecedented.

The Boston Celtics will enter Game 5 of the playoff series against the Knicks without their frontman, which means the challenge for the Celtics will be heightened as they are already on the verge of elimination. Boston is 1-3 down in the series, and it will take a monumental effort to overturn the situation from here. The onus will be on Jalen Brown to cover the ground that will be left void by Tatum. Moreover, the Boston Celtics are known to be dependent on one player. All the players have chipped in almost equally during the regular season, and it is time they replicate the same unison, as the situation cannot be more precarious.
