LeSean McCoy criticised Paul Pierce's opinion on Draymond Green's while firing shots at Kenyon Martin. On Monday's edition of "No Fouls Given" podcast, Pierce talked about the rivalry between Green and Martin.
The former Celtics star's statements were a bit tilted in Martin's favor. He said that Dubs would still win four championships even if Martin were playing in place of Green.
"Dray is gonna have the accolades and the more All-Stars. But if I just put both of these players on television and I am just scouting... Kenyon Martin is f****** fantastic," Pierce said.
"K-Mart, if he had Draymond, I think that they still win four championships."
The podcast's Instagram handle posted the clip on its timeline on Monday. The Eagles icon dropped in the post's comments to reveal his take on Pierce's opinion.
"They ain't winning nothing without Dray Dray," McCoy commented.
The Eagles' icon clarified his stance on the Green-Martin rivalry in another comment on the same post.
"What?? ain't no way Kenyon f****** with Dray Dray, but I rock with K mart," he wrote.
Draymond Green and Kenyon Martin have been at odds with each other for a while now. The rivalry between the former Nuggets players and the Warriors star took the media center stage on Friday following Green clapping back at Martin for his soft allegations on his podcast.
Paul Pierce thinks Draymond Green won't be on All-Defensive player in another era
In another segment of the "No Fouls Given" podcast, Paul Pierce turned his attention towards Draymond Green's defensive strength. He appreciated the Warriors stars' defensive achievements before expressing his concerns.
"I think Draymond Green is the greatest dfeebnder of this new era type of basketball because of the switching, because he can guard all five positions, " Pierce said.
"I don't think you can put Draymond defensively in any other era to where he will be an All-Defensive player. When he has to switch on Shaq. Alonso, Dikembe, KG... now, when you can switch on non-post presence players, it's easier to defend."
Pierce is right in his claim that Draymond Green is one the biggest players in the new era. The Warriors player has a list full of defensive achievements that make a strong case for him to contend for that title.
Green has won the e2017 Defensive Player of the Year award, has five NBA All-Defensive first team and four NBA All-Defensive second team selections that establish him as one of the best defenders ever.
