Former LA Lakers guard Nick Young took a dig at the Philadelphia Eagles after the Chicago Bears beat them on Black Friday at the Lincoln Financial Field. Young celebrated the win after winning money after a big bet with his friends after Thanksgiving.
Nick Young fires shot at Philadelphia Eagles
In a post on Instagram, Young posted a video of himself with several of his friends after the Bears secured a 24-15 win over the Eagles. "Swaggy P" even tagged Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, as well as rapper and podcaster Gillie da King, who is a big Eagles fan.
"Bear Down we winning the superbowl @ayeeecaleb top 8 Qb in the NFL @bigdaddymike15 lost 800 just now lost weak ass eagles @vernteel10 thank for brain the a middle and holding the money he wouldn't have paid if u wasn’t here the whole yard house mad right now … sorry @gilliedaking weak a** eagles 🦅 🦅🦅🦅 ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌," Young wrote.
Nick Young hails from Los Angeles and played for the Lakers and Clippers, so it is uncertain if he is a real Chicago Pears fan. One thing is certain, and that he was not a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He celebrated the team's defeat and cherished the money he won from his friend Mike Lawry.
Caleb Williams has guided the Bears to a decent 9-3 record, and they are currently riding on a five-game winning streak. The Bears could be going to the playoffs since 2021, when they lost to the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round.
Meanwhile, the Eagles dropped to 8-4 for the season. Jalen Hurts remained a Top 4 MVP candidate, just behind Matthew Stafford, Bo Nix and Drake Maye, as per ESPN bet.
Nick Young names LeBron James as GOAT
Despite admiring Kobe Bryant since childhood, Nick Young said that LeBron James is the greatest player the sport has ever witnessed. Young shared the feeling in an episode of "Gil's Arena" last week, when James had a great outing for the Lakers in their win over the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.
"Looking at LeBron last night, man, to be a (Michael) Jordan and Kobe fan, it's hard not to put LeBron as the greatest player ever," Young said, according to Fadeaway World. "After what he did, it's hard. But looking at this, LeBron James is the greatest player to play this game. I’m sorry, all the Jordan fans, all you, me Kobe fans, I'm biased because I'm a Kobe fan, but LeBron James is the best player to play this game."
James made history this season, being the only player to appear in 23 seasons in the NBA. He will be turning 41 on December 30.
