Frances Tiafoe roasts Kevin Durant as 'Old as Hell' after NBA star leaves match early
Tiafoe was aware when Durant left, and he did not forget to mention it after the match. The No. 2 seed said:
"I seen KD left when I went three sets - he's old as hell, so he had to go back and get some rest. Especially when he left, I was like, 'Yeah, definitely got to get my mind right and get this match done.'"
The 28-year-old Tiafoe, known for his charismatic personality, defeated Australian Rinky Hijikata 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in the ATP 250 event. The light-hearted roast highlighted the growing crossover between tennis and the NBA, with Durant having shared a warm courtside embrace with Tiafoe just days earlier after a Rockets game. Tiafoe is a well-known fan of basketball and will play Alexei Popyrin in the Houston quarterfinal.
