The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a 113-127 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers in their most recent game. The franchise is 4th in the Eastern Conference with a 47-29 record. While JJ Redick’s side has already booked their spot in the NBA Playoffs of this year, the Cavaliers can do it tonight, and they don't even need to take to the court.
Here is how the Cleveland Cavaliers clinches NBA Playoffs spot tonight
Cleveland clinches a postseason berth if the Philadelphia 76ers lose to the Washington Wizards tonight. While they have already made it to the postseason, sitting fourth in the East, should Philadelphia lose, it would mean that Cleveland could drop no lower than sixth moving forward.
However, the 76ers will face the Wizards, who are one of the most struggling teams of this season with a disappointing 17-58 record; hence, it won't be that easy. Meanwhile, this will mark their fourth consecutive playoff appearance, the longest such streak for the franchise in the post-LeBron James era.
With the SoFi Play-In Tournament scheduled for April 14-17 and the first round of the playoffs beginning April 18, Cleveland is positioned for home-court advantage in the opening round against the likely No. 5 Atlanta Hawks.
