The Houston Rockets will be locking horns with the Toronto Raptors in their upcoming NBA 2025-26 season. Rockets superstar Kevin Durant, two-time NBA champion and 15-time All-Star has long been defined by his dominance. Durant is a walking bucket and arguably the most skilled scorer in the modern era, and the franchise would need him to dominate the league.
The Rockets won their first game against the Brooklyn Nets and Durant contributed with 19 points against his former team, helping his current team win with a score of 137-109. Meanwhile, the franchise is heading north of the border for a showdown with the Toronto Raptors and a lot depends on the superstar’s availability. So, is the 37-year-old playing against the Raptors?
Is Kevin Durant playing in Rockets vs Raptors NBA 2025-26 game?
Yes. Durant will be playing against the Raptors as the forward has not been listed on the injury list of the franchise. The Rockets are 1-2 this season while the Raptors are 1-3. The only game Ima Udoka’s side managed to win was against Durant's former team.

While it's a moment of relief that Durant is available, point guard Fred VanVleet’s injury is a huge setback for the franchise. The star player is sidelined with a torn ACL along with wing Dorian Finney-Smith, who is also not available against the Raptors following left ankle surgery.
The Rockets need to extend their winning streak against the opponents who are coming off a loss against the San Antonio Spurs with a score of 121-103. This has extended their losing streak to three games. It is to be seen if the Rockets will be able to better their form against the team which has been struggling with their defence.
