Jimmy Butler will undeniably go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the Miami Heat but the way both parties ended terms will always give an outlook of unsatisfaction. The relations between the player and the franchise turned sour after Butler voiced his desire to leave the Miami Heat. The forward was levied with three back-to-back suspensions by the Heat and eventually, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors.

Former Heat and Warriors Player Questions the Antics of Jimmy Butler

Butler has immediately thrived with the Warriors. He has instantly impacted the overall performance of the team, to an extent that they are yet again looking like championship-winning material. Butler has immensely contributed to the scoring as well. He has collected 20 or more points in the four appearances he has had in the Warriors' jersey so far.

Considering how Jimmy Butler is playing, former NBA star Tim Hardaway, who is considered a legend for both the Heat and the Warriors, is in a tough spot. Hardaway hasn't shied away from expressing revulsion about Butler's antics. He believes that Butler just wanted to take games off even when he was not hurt.

According to HoopsHype, Hardaway said on Gil's Arena: "The only thing he wanted you to do was play more games. That’s all he wanted you to do—play more games. “I don’t want to be in the play-in games anymore. I want to be in the playoffs, have a week off, prepare, and be ready for our opponent. We’ll be fresh. "Jimmy didn’t want to do that. Jimmy wanted to keep doing what he always did—taking games off. He wasn’t hurt. He was just taking games off."

Butler certainly is known for his inconsistency. After leaving the Chicago Bulls in 2017, the 35-year-old has never played more than 65 games in the season. Thus, Hardway's claims have weight but there are no means to prove the accusations he has thrown at Butler.
