Highlights:

Charlotte Hornets will take on the Toronto Raptors tonight.

The game will take place at the Scotiabank Arena.

The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Toronto Raptors tonight at the Scotiabank Arena. Both teams are having a horrid season, and it is too late for any kind of surge. However, both would look to draw consolation results and take the momentum forward for the next season. While the Raptors may still have an outside chance to qualify for the play-in tournament, the Hornets on the other hand are down and out. One of the reasons why Charlotte failed to pick up this season was because of the lingering injury issue. Their squad strength has been sizably compromised due to injuries, and it will remain the same in tonight's game as well.

LaMelo Ball Injury Report

Hornets have suffered a big setback as star guard LaMelo Ball has been ruled out not just for tonight's game but for the remainder of the season. His season has ended on account of a wrist and ankle injury, and he is expected to undergo two surgeries to address both the injuries, per ESPN.

LaMelo Ball's departure will deeply affect the Hornets' scoring. The 23-year-old averaged 25.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.

Charlotte Hornets Injury Report

LaMelo Ball is not the only player listed in the Hornets' injury report.  Josh Okogie has also been sidelined with a hamstring issue. Additionally, Tre Mann (back), Brandon Miller (wrist), and Grant Williams (knee) are all marked as “OFS,” indicating they are out for the season. These injuries could significantly impact the team’s depth and performance moving forward.

Toronto on the other hand will also miss out on key players due to injuries.

  • RJ Barrett (rest) – Out
  • Ochai Agbaji (rest) – Out
  • Gradey Dick (knee) – Out
  • Brandon Ingram (ankle) – Out
  • Ulrich Chomche (MCL tear) – Out
  • Chris Boucher (illness) – Questionable

Charlotte Hornets are at an all-time low and the culmination of LaMelo Ball's season has further worsened the situation for them. However, they still have a match to play and showcase that as a team they can still beat anybody on their day.
