The Memphis Grizzlies got great news about Jaren Jackson Jr.'s injury status ahead of Monday's game with the Denver Nuggets. The forward missed the last two matches because of an ankle injury, now has a chance to make a comeback to the lineup against Denver.
Latest update on Jaren Jackson Jr.
The former DPOY limped off the court in the first half, during the Grizzlies' 111-101 defeat against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, before returning to wrap up the game. However, he missed the team's next two games against the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks, but could feature against the Nuggets.
His status got changed to questionable for the game, which is good news for the injury-hit Grizzlies. Memphis still has six players placed on the injury report, so any positive update goes a long way.
Latest update on Ja Morant and Javon Small
The Grizzlies will be missing Ja Morant, who picked up a calf injury last week and is set to be on the sidelines for at least two weeks. Javon Small was also placed on the injury report earlier this month with a toe injury and won't be considered for another three weeks.
Latest update on Ty Jerome, Scottie Pippen ad Brandon Clarke
On the other hand, Ty Jerome, who came from Cleveland in the offseason, has yet to make his debut for the side. Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) and Brandon Clarke (knee) also stayed on the sidelines.
With the Grizzlies winning their last two games after defeating the Kings and Mavericks, Jackson Jr's possible return would be a big boost. The forward has been the best player for the team, averaging 17.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 47% from the field.
Locking horns with the in-form Nuggets team, Memphis will require all personnel to try and improve on its 6-11 record.
