According to ESPN Shams Charania, Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison offered Luka Doncic in a trade to the LA Lakers a few days ago. Another NBA insider, Dave McMenamin mentioned that James got to know about the news while having dinner with his friends after Lakers' comprehensive win on Saturday against the Knicks.

After a promising last season that saw Dallas play in the NBA Finals, they will look to return to promised land in 2025, to justify their massive gamble on AD.

Kyrie Irving (32) and Klay Thompson (34) will join Davis as veterans on the Mavericks roster who have championship experience in the past.
