As she kicks off her highly anticipated rookie season in the WNBA, Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers has teamed up with DoorDash in a groundbreaking partnership that goes beyond the court.
Bueckers, selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft after leading UConn to a national title, is now the first-ever athlete to serve as creative director for DoorDash. The multi-year partnership is launching alongside the WNBA season, marking another major brand deal for the rising star.
Already signed with major companies like Nike, Gatorade, Dunkin’, and Verizon, Bueckers is expanding her off-court portfolio with DoorDash—and she's bringing fans along for the ride with an exclusive merchandise drop. In collaboration with Playa Society, a limited-edition t-shirt honoring the rise of women’s sports will be available from May 16–18. The shirt’s release coincides with Bueckers' WNBA debut against the Minnesota Lynx.
“DoorDash has been a staple throughout my college life, and nothing’s changed as I’ve gone pro. I even ordered my post-draft meal through DoorDash,” Bueckers said. “I was thrilled to jump into this new role as Creative Director and can’t wait for fans to see the tee we designed to celebrate the start of the season.”
The partnership reflects DoorDash’s continued investment in women’s sports culture, with the company praising Bueckers as a “superstar on and off the court.”
Glory moment
During a light-hearted moment, Bueckers revealed her first DoorDash order as a pro came from a local taco spot in Dallas, which she described as a hit: “The tacos were great, of course.”
Much like fellow WNBA star Caitlin Clark, Bueckers has attracted huge attention from brands, but she remains determined to carve out her own identity. “I’m on my own path,” she said, reiterating her desire to be known for her game and impact.
With her debut underway and the DoorDash campaign live, Bueckers is off to a fast start—both on the hardwood and in the world of brand-building.
Town named on beuckers
As Bueckers prepares to make her official WNBA debut on May 16, her hometown of Hopkins, Minnesota, has decided to pay tribute by renaming the city “Paige Bueckers, Minnesota” for the day. The gesture will coincide with her first regular-season game, which will see her Dallas Wings take on the Minnesota Lynx.
Bueckers Reacts to the Shocking News
The announcement took Bueckers by surprise when it first surfaced earlier in May. “I didn't believe it at first,” she admitted during a press conference held on May 13. “I thought it was fake news. There's a lot of fake news that circles around on the internet. So, you never know what to trust.
Once she realized the news was real, the young star was filled with gratitude. “It's also surreal and I don't know, it's crazy to me that they would name the whole city after me,” she added. “But just to be able to give back to that whole city who's given me so much... For them to show love like that I appreciate it for sure
