San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama has publicly appealed for help locating his 23-year-old friend, Elijah Hoard, who has been missing since February 27, 2026, at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

The NBA star shared urgent Instagram stories on Monday and wrote:
"Our friend Elijah has been missing from Chicago O'Hare since February 27th. If you have any information, please reach out to local authorities."
Hoard was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and cream-colored shoes. As per a report in Chicago Today, he is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, and having brown eyes. Additionally, he is a man with black hair and a medium complexion.
The player’s friend, as per reports, was unable to board his scheduled flight back to France after a 10-day visit with his father. Chicago police issued a missing persons bulletin on Sunday in which they noted that Hoard may require medical attention, with authorities and family actively searching and reviewing airport surveillance footage.
Hoard's family, including his father Antwon Hoard, reported that he was dropped off at the airport but never checked in for the flight, expressing growing concern over his well-being amid reports of possible mood swings or health needs.
Meanwhile, as for the French star, Wembanyama hopes to help his side continue its dominance in the Western Conference. They are second right now with a 43-17 record. In their most recent game, they fell to the New York Knicks with a score of 89-114 and will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
