Dallas Mavericks decided to raise ticket prices recently.

Nothing is going in favour of the Dallas Mavericks lately. The Western Conference defending champions have been inconsistent throughout the season, moreover, the injury issues are just not leaving them. After enduring the calf strain of Luka Doncic for a lengthy part of the season, the Mavs are now waiting for Doncic's replacement Anthony Davis to comeback from the adductor injury he suffered in his debut game for Dallas. If that was not enough, a fresh injury setback struck the Mavericks on Monday during the game against the Kings. Star guard Kyrie Irving has picked up a season-ending ACL injury.

Charles Barkley Slams Dallas Mavericks

On March 4, the Mavericks announced an 8.61% price increase for 2025-2026 tickets. Fans were still hurting from the Doncic deal and didn't have time to prepare for this surprise.

Barkley was appalled by the news. He used a recent edition of The Steam Room to express his disgust and fury with the Mavs organization.

“The person who announced this week that y’all raising ticket prices got to be the dumbest person in history,” Barkley said. “You got to read the room, guys. It’s not the time.”

Barkley did not criticize the Mavs for raising ticket prices in general, but he did question their timing, given how sensitive the mood is in Dallas. To make matters worse, the announcement came just hours after the team announced that Kyrie Irving would miss the rest of the season with a ruptured ACL.

The Inside the NBA star divulged that he feels sad for Irving and AD over their injuries. He also showcased support for Nico Harrison, but he had to be honest about the franchise's awful decisions.
