Luka Doncic has almost recovered from the Calf injury.

Luka Doncic made his debut for the Lakers against Utah Jazz just ahead of the annual All-Star game.

Following an unexpected trade to the LA Lakers, Luka Doncic's stint in the purple and gold has begun. The Slovenian has started on a decent note, collecting 14 points on average thus far after three games. While the number is fair, it is nowhere close to the standards he has set for himself in the league. It is quite clear that he would need more time to settle into his stride as a Laker. However, it is not only Doncic, who will be having to make adjustments.

JJ Reddick Opens Up About the Challenge of Fitting Luka Doncic in the Lakers Squad

Addressing the media after enduring a tough result against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, Lakers head coach JJ Reddick opened up about the inclusion of Luka Doncic in the squad. According to Reddick, the entire group is trying to acclimatize to the transition in the squad and hence some decisions haven't produced the ideal output. While he attributed this hit and trial stage as a "problem", he is also excited to work an extra bit to solve the existing puzzle.

“Sometimes when the group is trying to get acclimated with each other, you try to play the right way too much and turn down shots,” Redick said. “I think the flow of everything is gonna happen. I’m excited, this is a new problem to solve and we’ll work our butts off to solve it.”

JJ Reddick On Lakers' Loss to the Hornets

JJ Redick also addressed the Lakers' loss against the Hornets and acknowledged the team’s offensive issues. “I think we played, I don’t even know, 39 to 44 minutes of pretty poor offense,” JJ Redick admitted postgame. “And some of that’s to be expected. Some of it was sloppiness, some of it was poor spacing, some of it was poor execution,” he continued. “The reason I’m not going to read too much into that is because I think our guys competed tonight and they played extremely hard,” the Lakers coach added.
