The comment came during a Thursday media availability when a reporter asked Brunson what event he would pay the equivalent of the cheapest reported Game 3 ticket at Madison Square Garden to attend.

Speaking about it, Brunson said:

"That's a good question. A live Michael Jackson performance."

The answer quickly went viral, drawing praise from fans for the star's composure and cultural taste amid the high-stakes Finals run against the San Antonio Spurs. Ticket prices for Knicks playoff games at MSG have skyrocketed, highlighting the intense demand for seeing Brunson and the Knicks chase a championship.

The response underscores Brunson's reputation as a level-headed leader who remains relatable off the court. While a real Michael Jackson concert is impossible following the pop icon's death in 2009, Brunson's choice resonated widely, with many fans echoing the sentiment that the King of Pop would be worth the premium.

Meanwhile, a lot of celebrities have been showing off their love for the Billie Jean hitmaker following the release of the biopic Michael starring the late singer’s nephew Jaafar Jackson. Meanwhile, the Knicks continue their Finals push, with Brunson once again carrying a heavy offensive load for the franchise.
