Meanwhile, the Slovenian brushed off questions about making a case for the NBA MVP award, opting instead for a humble response that stated team success over individual accolades.

When asked if he wanted to pitch himself for the honor following comments from Victor Wembanyama, the Lakers star replied simply:

“I never did that so… I’m not the one voting but I think I’ve been playing pretty good. We been winning. That’s it. That’s all I gotta say.”

The exchange came after a recent Lakers victory, as Doncic continues to play at an elite level this season. His no-drama approach contrasts with more vocal discussions from other top contenders, highlighting his preference to let on-court performance speak for itself amid the tight MVP race involving players like Wembanyama and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Meanwhile, the Lakers recently beat the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 127-113 and are 3rd in the Western Conference with a 50-26 record. They will next face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
