Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung, according to a report by Shams Charania. The ESPN journalist also added that the point guard is expected to miss an extended period of time.
However, the news of relief that was told to Charania was that Cunningham’s ling collapse is considered mild. Meanwhile, the franchise is still monitoring the situation and is trying to gather more information. Hence, it has not been revealed as of this writing how long the player will be sidelined.
However, assumptions are that Cunningham might make his return in time for the NBA playoffs, which kick off in April, as per sources. The Pistons are currently the leaders of the Eastern Conference with a 49-19 record ahead of their clash against the Washington Wizards.
