The NBA has fined Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd with $35,000 penalty. This comes after their 107-111 loss to the Houston Rockets, and Kidd went on to complain about it in a media appearance. The Mavericks are going through a tough season, standing 12th in the Western Conference with a 19-30 record.

The NBA has fined Jason Kidd for public criticism of officiating and using profane language during a media interview. The Mavericks boss, during the media appearance, said:
"I saw a foul.”
He continued:
“(The officials) were awful tonight. The referees were unacceptable. It's a foul, and he needs to be at the free throw line. Now, does he make both?”
Kidd further said:
"That's up to the player, but the referees did not do their job. They were terrible."
The 52-year-old was frustrated by the officiating of the referees, especially for not calling a foul on Cooper Flagg's drive to the basket late in the game. The officiating of the rookie star, who concluded the game with 34 points but failed to draw a foul after missing what would've been a game-tying layup late in the game, did not sit right with Kidd.
Meanwhile, the Mavs are set to face the Boston Celtics next in the regular season of the NBA 2025-2026 season. The Celtics are 31-18 ahead of the clash, and they stand 3rd in the Eastern Conference.
