Kohli took and exceptional catch, saved a certain six and inflicted a fantastic run out.

Former India captain and superstar batter, Virat Kohli endured a rare off day with the bat when he was dismissed for a golden duck against Afghanistan in the 3rd T20I at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on January 17. It was Kohli's first-ever golden duck dismissal in the T20Is and it came at his 'favourite' hunting ground. Even though the ex-skipper failed to make any impact with the bat, he played an instrumental role in India's win and set a perfect example of how to change the match on its head by giving 100% effort on the field. Kohli made four sensational fielding efforts in the field, two of them resulted in wickets while one saved a six and the other a four.

Kohli's athleticism, agility and fitness were on full display on the field on Wednesday. He ran 38 meters on from long off to deep covers and completed a super catch under tremendous pressure. In another 'Superman' effort, Kohli jumped high in the air and completed a one-handed catch. Upon realising that he was stumbling over the boundary cushion, the 35-year-old showed brilliant presence of mind and kept the ball in play, saving five runs in the process.

In another display of athleticism, Kohli ran in a few yards from the boundary and dived in front to attempt a catch. The ball landed just in front of Kohli, who in the end, managed to save a boundary. In the Super Over, Kohli came charging from the long-on fence and fired a bullet throw to the striker's end that allowed Sanju Samson to run out in-form Gulbadin Naib.

As it turned out, Kohli's gallant effort in the field made a huge difference as the Men in Blue went on to defeat Afghanistan in a double Super Over thriller and clinched the series by a commanding margin of 3-0.
