Oman becomes the second associate nation in T20I team history to stitch a 50-plus run against India. Earlier, Afghanistan registered the feet when they were an associate nation. Oman is the only current associate nation in that tally. Opening batters Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem stitched a 56-run opening stand against India in their third group stage clash of the Asia Cup 2025.

The Jatinder-led side also created history against  India in the match. This was the first time that Oman didn’t lose a wicket in the power play against a full-member nation. On the other hand, this marked the first time since July 2024 against Sri Lanka, when India didn’t pick up a wicket in the powerplay.
