In an unfortunate turn of events, the much-anticipated Asia Cup Super Fours match between India and Pakistan at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo was interrupted by a heavy downpour on September 10 (Sunday). As a result, officials have rescheduled the match to continue on the reserve day, that is, September 11 (Monday). The match is slated to resume at 3 PM IST.

Although the game is set for a standard 50 overs per side, India will pick up from their halted position of 147/2 in 24.1 overs. Fans eagerly await the continuation of this cricketing showdown; however, they might need to brace for potential rain interruptions again. The weather forecast for the reserve day suggests further disruptions due to rainfall. There is a significant chance of rain in Colombo on Tuesday and the weather forecast predicts a thunderstorm as well.

It would be a shame if the match gets interrupted by rain once again as more than a billion people are eagerly waiting for the conclusion of the game.

Talking about the action that took place on Sunday, Virat Kohli, with his steady 8 runs from 16 balls, and KL Rahul, contributing 17 off 28, were in the middle when rain took center stage. But, it was the dynamic partnership between Rohit Sharma and young prodigy Shubman Gill that stole the show.

India's captain Rohit Sharma notched up his 50th ODI half-century, showcasing his impeccable form. Complementing him, Shubman Gill delivered an equally impressive inning, marking a half-century for himself. Together, they crafted a remarkable 121-run stand in just 100 balls. Rohit's fiery 56 runs, punctuated by six 4s and four 6s, was a sight to behold. Not to be outdone, Gill's innings sparkled with 10 boundaries, accumulating 58 runs off 52 balls.

The high-flying partnership was eventually broken by Pakistan's Shadab Khan, who claimed Rohit's wicket. Following suit, Shaheen Afridi demonstrated his bowling prowess by deceiving Gill with a well-executed slower ball.

Fans eagerly await the next episode of this cricketing saga, hoping for clear skies.
