Asian Games Women's Cricket Competition in Hangzhou started with a massively one-sided encounter. Mongolia Women led by Tsendsuren Ariuntsetseg suffered a batting collapse of epic proportions and were bundled out for 15 in the run chase of 188 and lost the game by 172 runs.

This is the 11th-lowest total in women's T20Is. Also, the 172-run win for Indonesia is the 22nd biggest win margin. This is Indonesia’s third-highest win by a margin of runs as well.

Earlier Ariuntsetseg won the toss and opted to field first. Indonesia got off to an ideal start. Openers Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini and Ni Lukh Dewi shared a 106-run stand from 58 balls. Gansuk Anujin got the breakthrough. Sakarini scored 35 runs from 31 balls including four fours and one six.

Dewi got to her half-century. In the 13th over, she got bowled by Battsetseg Namuunzul. The opener scored 62 runs from 48 balls including 10 fours. In the next over, Andriani Andriani got out bowled for a three-ball duck by Jargalsaikhan Erdenesuvd.

Maria Corazon struggled to score quickly. She got out to Mendbayaar Enkhzul in the final over. Corazon scored 22 runs from 27 balls including three fours. Kisi Kasse remained unbeaten for a run-a-ball 18 as Mongolia posted 187/4. Namuunzul was the most expensive bowler as she conceded 50 runs from her quota of four overs.

Mongolian openers struggled to score runs in the initial bowlers. After facing as many as 16 dot deliveries Bat-Amgalan Bulganchimeg departed for a duck. On the very next ball, Rahmawati Pangestuti got out for a golden duck. Skipper Ariuntsetseg became the first victim of Andriani in the seventh over. Opener Batjargal Ichinkhorloo got run out in the eighth over. She top-socred with five runs from 19 balls.

Andriani ran riot in the next few overs as she picked up four wickets including two ducks. Dewi mopped up the tail as Mongolia got bundled out for 15 from 10 overs. Their score included five extras as well.
