Kuhnemann said Jadeja gave me a few pointers at the end of the Test series in Indore vs India.

Australia spinner Matthew Kuhnemann has shared how a brief 15-minute conversation with renowned Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja significantly contributed to his personal growth as a player. Kuhnemann played a crucial role in Australia's victory in the third Test in Indore, securing five wickets in the first innings. Following his notable performance with a total of six wickets in the match, the 27-year-old revealed that Jadeja offered valuable advice after the series concluded.

Kuhnemann had a one-on-one conversation with Jadeja. Despite having featured in four ODIs and taking six wickets before making his Test debut in Delhi, he didn't receive a recall for the ODI World Cup after Ashton Agar got injured. Despite this setback, Kuhnemann boasts commendable first-class figures, having amassed 56 wickets in 20 matches.

"He gave me a few pointers at the end of the series, which was awesome. I sort of took that into the county season, and it seemed to work. Hopefully, I can bring that into the Big Bash and contribute to some wins," Kuhnemann said while speaking on Fox Cricket.

Before his Test debut in the Delhi series, the Queensland player participated in four ODIs, securing six wickets. Kuhnemann holds a commendable first-class record, having claimed 56 wickets at an average of 33.75 in 20 games. He has also expressed his aspirations for Australia's upcoming red-ball tour of the subcontinent, scheduled for Sri Lanka in 2025.

"When the schedule comes out, me personally, you look at the subcontinent (tours). I'd love to get back in (the Test side). It was awesome, it was like a dream come true being over there. I've learned heaps in the last 12 months, so hopefully that puts me in good stead for the future," Kuhnemann added.

Despite the experienced Nathan Lyon in their squad during the 2022 Sri Lanka tour, Australia lacked quality in a skilled left-arm spinner. Although the tourists convincingly won the first Test by 10 wickets, they suffered a setback in the second Test, losing by an innings and 39 runs. Prabhath Jayasuriya's exceptional performance, claiming six wickets in both innings, earned him the Player of the Match accolade as the Sri Lankan Lions levelled the red-ball series at 1-1.
