Mohammad Rizwan asked Babar Azam about his marriage during a conversation on his space on X.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan's conversation went viral on social media.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam recently responded to many questions on his space on X, formerly known as Twitter. Babar, who relinquished his captaincy for Pakistan in all formats after the 2023 World Cup, participated in a Twitter Space named 'From the Pitch to the Mic: Babar Azam,' where he addressed cricket-related queries. Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batter and teammate Mohammad Rizwan also joined the conversation and asked about the former captain's marriage details.

However, Babar and Rizwan engaged in a comical exchange, which quickly gained traction on social media.

When is Babar Azam getting married?

This is how the conversation between Pakistani duo unfolded:

"Jaanab, aap ki shaadi kab hai? (Mr. when are you getting married?)," asked Rizwan.

"Mujhe pata tha aap yehi sawaal karenge. (I knew you would ask me this question?)," Babar replied.

"Abhi poocha hai toh jawaab dena padega aapko (Now that I have asked, you must answer the question)," Rizwan insisted.

"Murshid, aapko meian akele mein samjhata hoon (I will make you understand that in private)," Babar stated.

"Nowadays, when I wake up in the morning, I find that I am married to someone. People start congratulating me. Then again, in the evening I am married to someone else. People again congratulate me. So I am already married. Now you should focus on someone else,” Babar added.

"The truth is that my wife is more concerned about when is Babar getting married. She keeps asking me daily," Rizwan concluded.

Recently, Rizwan also indicated that changing his opening partnership with Babar in the T20Is has had a detrimental impact on the team.

Babar and Rizwan have forged a formidable opening partnership for Pakistan in T20s over the years. Their collaboration has been instrumental in Pakistan's victories in numerous T20 matches. However, with Babar stepping down, the team has undergone significant changes, and the new opening duo of Saim Ayyub and Rizwan has failed to deliver positive results for the team.

"You can say that it [breaking the opening pair] has hurt (nuksaan hua hai) Pakistan. I can say that Babar bhai has a big heart. We both agreed that there is no issue [in splitting the opening pair]. We both told the management that they can try whatever combination they want. The difficulty arises when you break things that were already working well. However, management is looking at what can be extracted best from different combinations," Rizwan was earlier quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
