Bangladesh's star cricketer Mehidy Hasan Miraz gave India captain Rohit Sharma a unique present on Tuesday, October 1, following the conclusion of the two-matchTest series. Along with Imrul Kayes and a few of his buddies, Mehidy founded "MKS Sports," a bat firm, last year. After the Test series was over, the all-rounder would then make the decision to present the Indian captain with a gift.
In a video posted on the MKS Sports Facebook page, Mehidy stated that he had always wished to present Rohit with a bat. The Bangladeshi all-rounder conveyed his obvious happiness at the situation.
"I am with Rohit bhai and I gifted him a bat from my company. I always wished to give him a bat and so I am very happy," said Mehidy.
Rohit's reaction
Along with discussing the present, Rohit claimed to have known Mehidy for a very long time and praised him as an excellent cricket player. The skipper of India expressed his pride in the all-rounder's decision to launch his own business and wished Mehidy well with his bat firm.
"I know Mehidy from a long time. He is a very good cricketer. And I am very proud of him that he has started his own bat company along with some of his friends. I want to wish him all the best, May god give him all the success. And I hope this company will rise above everyone else," said Rohit.
Mehidy vs Rohit in Kanpur
In the Kanpur Test, Rohit Sharma was dismisseed by Mehidy twice. On Day 4, when India came out to bat in the opening innings, the all-rounder was the one who stopped the Indian captain's onslaught and got him back inside the pavilion. In the second innings, the all-rounder from Bangladesh would subsequently dismiss Rohit once again, but India was well on their way to winning the match, which they ultimately achieved by seven wickets. While Rohit will have a little rest prior to the New Zealand series, Mehidy will now play in the T20I series.
