Ravindra Jadeja missed the 2nd Test against England due to hamstring injury.

Kuldeep Yadav has confirmed Ravindra Jadeja's availability for the third Test between India and England which is slated to start from February 15 in Rajkot. India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is making strides in his recovery from injury and is anticipated to be fit for the Rajkot Test, as revealed by spinner Kuldeep Yadav on February 13, Tuesday.

Jadeja picked up injury during 1st Test

Jadeja, aged 35, sustained a hamstring injury during the fourth day of the first Test in Hyderabad, a match won by England. Consequently, he was sidelined for the second Test in Visakhapatnam, where the Indian team managed to level the five-match series at 1-1.

The return to fitness of the seasoned all-rounder holds significant importance for the Indian team, and he has been reinstated into the squad with selectors closely monitoring his rehabilitation ahead of the third Test slated to commence on Thursday in Rajkot.

Jadeja's comeback, a big boost for India

Jadeja's comeback will only bolster India's squad for the third Test against England, as it enhances their bowling prowess and strengthens their batting lineup, particularly in the lower order, as they seek to gain an advantage in the ongoing Test series against England.

"He's doing his routine. He did one session yesterday as well. I think he's available," Kuldeep told reporters.

Jadeja's comeback might entail Kuldeep or Axar Patel being sidelined, although there's a possibility that all three could play, especially with batsman KL Rahul sidelined due to a right quadriceps problem.

I'm not sure about my position because there's still two days to go for the match," Kuldeep added.
"If I get the opportunity I'll be more than happy. I don't think too much about whether I'm playing or not. I just enjoy my day and keep working hard.
"That's my process. The combination matters a lot in a team game. It's as simple as that," Kuldeep added.

India sans Virat Kohli

India will have to proceed without Virat Kohli for the rest of the series against England due to personal matters. Kohli's unavailability will be a big setback for the Indian squad, given his rich experience and top class batting.
On the other hand, England will miss the services of their spin spearhead, Jack Leach, due to a knee injury. Leach has been a vital component of England's spin bowling lineup, and his nonattendance leaves a gap in the team's bowling resources.

India’s updated squad for the third Test: Rohit Sharma (c), Jasprit Bumrah (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (wk), KS Bharat (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja*, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Devdutt Padikkal.

England’s Test squad: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (c), Ben Foakes (wk), Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Shoaib Bashir, James Anderson, Mark Wood, Ollie Robinson, Daniel Lawrence, Gus Atkinson
