On May 15, 2017, during the Women’s Quadrangular Series match against Ireland at Potchefstroom, Raut carved her name into the record books alongside Deepti Sharma. Together, they constructed a monumental 320-run opening stand—which remains the highest partnership for any wicket in Women’s ODI history. Raut scored a magnificent 109 off 116 balls (11 fours), complementing Deepti Sharma’s 188. Their stand was the first-ever 300-plus run partnership recorded in Women's One-Day Internationals.

Holding one end firm under extreme pressure, her steady knock brought India into striking distance of their maiden World Cup title before her dismissal triggered a late-order collapse, leaving India just 9 runs short. She finished the 2017 World Cup tournament as one of India's leading run-scorers, recording 326 runs, including a century against Australia in the group stage (106) and her clutch 86 in the final.
