India middle-order batter Rinku Singh who missed the second and third T20I against England due to a low back spasm while fielding in the 1st T20I has been fit and ready to play in the fourth T20I against the Jos Buttler-led side which is scheduled to take place on January 31 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

India assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate confirmed that Rinku Singh is fit and he will feature in the fourth T20I against England in Pune.

Earlier, BCCI confirmed that Rinku was injured in the first T20I which forced him out from the second and third T20Is. Ramandeep Singh has been named as Rinku’s replacement.

“He is progressing well and the BCCI medical team is monitoring him closely. He is ruled out of the 2nd and 3rd games of the ongoing 5-match T20I series,” the BCCI said in a statement.

If Rinku manages to come into the playing XI then Washington Sundar will likely to be benched for the fourth T20I as India already has three other spinners in their line-up. Rinku Singh played the first game of the series where he did not get to bat while Washington Sundar could not make much of an impact in the two games he played.

Apart from Rinku, Nitish Reddy was also injured in the first T20I and his injury seems more serious as he has been ruled out for at least four weeks.
