Former India captain Virat Kohli is making his comeback in domestic cricket, featuring for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy clash against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The star batter holds a massive following because of his contribution to the game and that's why the Delhi stadium broke all the records with more than 10,000 spectators to witness the Ranji match between Delhi and Railways.

Kohli made his comeback in Ranji Trophy after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) 10 points guideline where made it mandatory for national players to feature in domestic cricket when they are out from international action.
Kohli's last Test outing came in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 where he failed to perform. The 36-year-old holds a great record against Australia but he managed to score just 190 runs in his last Australia tour.
Kohli played in last Ranji game against Uttar Pradesh in November 2012 where he just scored 14 and 42 runs in both innings by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The 2006/07 Ranji season was Virat's first-ever appearance in the competition. The batter did rather decently, scoring 257 runs in six matches and nine innings at an average of 36.71, with a best score of 90 and two half-centuries.
Overall in his Ranji career, Kohli has scored 1,573 runs at an average of 50.77, with five centuries and six fifties in 23 matches.
Coming back to the match, Navdeep Saini's three fer followed by Siddhant Sharma and Money Grewal's two individual wickets helped Delhi to bundle out Railways on just 241 runs on Day 1 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
