England star batter Harry Brook smashed a triple ton in the first Test match against Pakistan at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan which helped the visitors to defeat Shan Masood & Co. by 47 runs and an innings to take 1-0 lead in three Test match series.

Brook made a 454-run stand with Joe Root which is fourth highest partnership in Test history. Brook who was once behind Root in the run tally started smashing the bowlers on Day 4. He revealed that they had a chat during lunchtime on Day 4 and he knew that they would declare the inning in a little period of time.

"Enjoyed it a lot. It was tough out there in the heat. We were just batting for as long as possible to be honest. We had a chat at lunch time, knew we were going to be batting out there for a little period after lunch. Just have to try and enjoy batting, and build a partnership. Was taking as much fluid onboard as possible. Was a good surface to cash in on. Hopefully many more to come" said Brook in post-match conference.

With this loss, Pakistan made the longest winless streak at home for a team (except ZIM & BAN) since New Zealand's 12-Test run between February 1994 & 1997. This is also the 6th consecutive Test loss for Pakistan.
