1983 World Cup: While Australia, bolstered by Trevor Chappell's century and Ken MacLeay's 6-wicket spell, secured their first win against India, the Men in Blue bounced back with Madan Lal and Roger Binny leading them to victory. 2015 World Cup: Steve Smith's century paved the way for Australia's semi-final triumph over India, subsequently clinching their fifth title.

2019 World Cup: A resurgence saw India outshine Australia in the group stage, courtesy of Dhawan and Kohli's brilliance, though they faltered in the semis.
