India ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah opened up on Arshdeep Singh's performance after the toss of the semifinal clash of the T20 World Cup 2024 between India and England has been delayed due to rain at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana on June 27 Thursday.
Bumrah said that it's Arshdeep Singh who has set the tone for India by swinging the ball during the early overs. He also revealed that they are keeping the outside noise out and focussing on the game.
Expectations are high but we’re trying to focus on our game and keep the outside noise out. We want to control the controllables. Now we’re waiting for the game to happen. You need to assess the conditions, there are so many variables involved. We understand how the game goes and how the opposition plans but we’re trying to focus on our strengths. Arshdeep has set the tone for us, he;’s been swinging the ball. As a youngster he’s very clear with his options, that’s a great sign for me" sais Bumrah ahead of Toss.
Arshdeep Singh is the highest wicket-taker for India in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, the left-arm seamer got 15 scalps in the marquee event so far.

What happens if rain causes washout?
If rain causes a washout like it has in the previous few games, it will ensure India's spot in the Final of this mega tournament right next to South Africa. However, ICC has allotted 250 minutes of extra time to this match but no reserve day. The extra time will allow the ground staff to prepare the ground for a competition if the weather allows to.
