The encounter between India and Pakistan is often treated as a mega event in itself. Talking exclusively about the Women's T20 World Cup, the two sides have faced off six times. Once again, India has a better head-to-head record over their counterparts. India have beaten the arch-rivals on four instances and have been defeated only twice.
Out of seven editions of the Women's T20 World Cup, two sides did not clash only once, and that was in the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup. Let us look back at how these six encounters have fared.

Women's T20 World Cup 2009:
The first encounter in 2009 was a low-scoring affair. Batting first, Pakistan were bowled out for 75. Needing only 76 in 20 overs, India were expected to convincingly win the game but Pakistan made the Indian batters work and India won by five wickets (with 14 balls remaining.)

Women's T20 World Cup 2010
The second time the two Asian sides met (in 2010), Pakistan scored 104/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Chasing 105, India convincingly reached the target, losing only one wicket. India won by 9 wickets.

Women's T20 World Cup 2012
Heading into their third clash in the Women's T20 World Cup, India were expected to make it 3 of 3 but there was a twist in the tale. Another low-scoring thriller was on the cards, with Pakistan batting first, and they managed to score 98/9. Needing 99 in 20 overs, India came close but lost the game by one run. Nida Dar starred for Pakistan with figures of 3/12.
Women's T20 World Cup 2014
India and Pakistan faced each other in the Qualification Play-Offs of the 2014 Women's T20 World Cup. Batting first, India scored 106/7. Soniya Dabir's 3/14 were crucial as the Women in Blue beat Pakistan by six runs at home.

Women's T20 World Cup 2016 
India and Pakistan faced each other in the seventh match of Group B. Playing at home, India had the backing of a home crowd and were expected to cruise past their opponents. A rain-affected clash was on the cards and Pakistan beat India by two runs.

Women's T20 World Cup 2018
The last time the two sides clashed was in the 2018 edition. Pakistan put up a decent display with the bat and scored 133/7 in the first innings. Chasing 134, Mithali Raj scored her 16th T20I half-century to wrap up India's victory over Pakistan with six balls and seven wickets to spare.
