Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a cash award of Rs 1 crore for pacer Renuka Singh Thakur for her achievements in the Women's ODI World Cup 2025.

Renuka, who is from the Parsa village in Rohru tehsil in Shimla district, played a significant role in the Indian team’s maiden World Cup title win.
Talking to reporters here, he said that "daughters of our country have scripted history by winning the World Cup" and congratulated the whole team and its captain for the achievement.
Notably, India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the title decider to win their maiden silverware at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The HP CM also called Renuka and congratulated her. He lauded Renuka's bowling and said that she kept the pressure on the opponents with her effort.
"I have seen the final match and you performed well and the state is proud of you," he told Renuka.
MP government to give INR 1 crore to Kranti Goud
The CM also assured that he would give a job to the 29-year-old star all-rounder. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh CM also awarded INR 1 crore to Kranti Goud for her achievements in the mega event. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated Team India for their performance, highlighting the achievements of Goud, a representative of Madhya Pradesh.
"I want to congratulate everyone for the way the daughter of our state and the daughters of the country performed brilliantly in cricket last night," Chief Minister Mohan Yadav told reporters here.
"Madhya Pradesh's daughter Kranti Gaud was also part of the women's World Cup-winning team. I want to congratulate Kranti and give her an incentive of Rs 1 crore from the state government. I announce to give Rs one crore to Kranti, the daughter of Chattarpur," the CM said.
