Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan suggested the Shubman Gill-led side add Kuldeep Yadav to the playing XI after their seven-wicket defeat against Australia in 1st ODI at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Kuldeep, who played a crucial role for India in the Asia Cup 2025, was benched in the first ODI as management picked Nitish Kumar Reddy to add batting depth against the Mitchell Marsh-led side.
After India's defeat, Pathan took his 'X', formerly known as Twitter to urge the Gill-led side for Kuldeep's addition in the playing XI.
"Can team India find a way to get Kuldeep Yadav in the playing 11 for the next game? Think they should" Irfan Pathan wrote
