Shivam Dube has completely turned the match around here as he first got the wicket of Mitchell Marsh and has now sent Tim David back to the pavilion for 14 runs. David had hit Dube for a gigantic six just a ball before, but the pacer made a great comeback and got a much-needed wicket for the visitors. Australia now down to 95/4 after 12 overs..

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh has now departed back to the dugout for 30 runs as India have managed to get the wicket that they needed so dearly. It is Shivam Dube who gets the wicket, but the credit also goes to Arshdeep Singh who took a great catch on the boundary rope. Australia have now been restricted to 70/3 after 9.2 overs.

Axar Patel rattles the wickets of Josh Inglis as India break the developing partnership. The batter tried to swing hard, but ended up completely missing the ball and has now departed for 12 runs. Australia are now down to 68/2 after 9 overs.

Another good over for India as Varun Chakravarthy only gives away 7 runs. Abhishek Sharma dropped the catch of Mitchell Marsh which saw India lose out on picking up a massive wickket. Australia now stand on 62/1 after the end of 8 overs.

Australia have scored 16 runs in the last two overs. After hitting Jasprit Bunrah for 9 runs in the sixth over, Axar Patel bowled an economical 7-run over where there was a big appeal for LBW against Josh Inglis. Australia now stand on 55/1 after the end of 7 overs.

Axar Patel has sent Matthew Short back to the pavilion for 25 runs. Just when it looked like the Australian openers were settling on the crease, the visitors managed to rack up a big wicket. Australia are now 39/1 after the end of 5 overs.

9 runs came off Varun Chakravarthy's first over as Australia have now scored 35 runs in the first four overs of their innings. Matt Short is unbeaten on 24 while Mitchell Marsh is batting on 11. 

Matthew Short got into his groove in the third and slammed Arshdeep Singh for 10 runs offf the first two deliveries before Mitchell Marsh hit another boundary on the final ball to make it a 15-run over for the hosts.

Jasprit Bumrah only gave away five runs in the second over of the innings as the Australian openers failed to hit any big shots. India are doing well in the opening few overs here and will be hoping that this rhythm continues throughout the powerplay.

Arshdeep Singh bowled a tidy opening over and gave away just six runs. Though Matt Short did score a boundary on the second delivery, the left-arm pacer made a great comebackk and gave away just a single from the next four balls.

The players from both teams have arrived back to the field here at the Carrara Oval. Australia openers Mitchell Marsh and Matt Short have taken the crease and it will be Arshdeep Singh, who will begin the proceedings for India with the ball.

Axar Patel did start offf the over well and scored 10 runs from the first two deliveries, but Stoinis managed to end the over nicely. The visitors haven't been able to set up a formidable target and it remains to be seen if they will now be able to defend it or not.
