India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant got hit by Mitchell Starc's throw on Day 1 of the ongoing second Test match against Australia in Adelaide. Pant who scored just 21 runs shook after getting hit by a ball as he was dismissed on the very first ball after getting stuck by Starc's throw. The southpaw brushed off the incident with a smile. 

Pant who came to bat after Virat Kohli's wicket came to bat when India were reeling in the game as the visitors lost Yashasvi Jaiswal on a duck and after that star batter Virat Kohli was also cheaply dismissed after scoring just seven runs. The incident happened during the second session after Rohit Sharma's wicket when Australia's pace attack extended their dominance. The clip of the incident went viral on social media, here is the clip. 

During the 33rd over, Nitish Kumar Reddy punched a delivery of Pat Cummins to mid-on and called for a quick single. Pant who was standing at the runner's end was busy watching the ball and reacted late. Mitchell Starc picked up the ball and made a sharp, direct hit that not only missed the stumps but hit Pant instead.

Australia's bowling on Day 1

Australia bowlers were seen dominating India on Day 1 of the first Test match where Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers with six wickets in hand. Apart from Starc, Scott Boland and Pat Cummins picked two wickets each. Nitish Kumar Reddy was India's highest run-getter scoring 42 off 54 including three sixes and three fours. Apart from Reddy, India's KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin are the only players who scored in double digits.
