Sai Sudharsan named in India's Test squad vs England.

India vs England five-Test match series is scheduled to start from June 20.

Former India spinner opined that young left-handed batter Sai Sudharsan to bat at number three in the upcoming Test series against England. Sudharsan has been named in India's 18-member squad for the five-Test match series against England which is scheduled to start from June 20.

Harbhajan, who was part of MS Dhoni-led India's ODI World Cup 2011 squad, believes that Sudharsan has had a great IPL and he is technically sound.

"In my opinion, Sai Sudharsan should play at No.3. He's a left-hander, in top form, and just came off a very impressive IPL. His technique is sound, and I believe he could be the solution at that position," Harbhajan said, as quoted by IANS.

Earlier, Shubman Gill used to bat at number three and since Virat Kohli has announced his retirement from the longest format of the game, there are chances that Gill will bat at number four.

Harbhajan Singh further said that the Shubman Gill-led Indian Test team looks quite inexperienced, but the players need to stay confident to get the job done. He said:

“The team needs to believe in themselves believe that they can win. This team has the ability. These are the same youngsters, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, who broke Australia's fortress at the Gabba. Now it's their turn to make history again. The opportunity is massive, and they should grab it with both hands.

“Gill is a new captain, and the team is quite young — there's no Rohit, Virat, Pujara, or even Ajinkya Rahane. It's going to be challenging, but I expect our youngsters to rise to the occasion and perform well."

The upcoming five-Test match series will be Shubman Gill's first assignment as red-ball captain. He earlier led India in the five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe, where the Men in Blue registered 3-1 win against Zimbabwe.
