Irfan Pathan suggests Indian seamers to use bouncers.

Former India fast bowling all-rounder Irfan Pathan suggested Indian speedster to go with aggressive bowling with a defensive field in the first Test match at the Yorkshire Cricket Ground in Leeds, England. Hosts England are currently cruising towards win in the first Test match of the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy.

Irfan Pathan took his 'X', formerly known as Twitter to give his suggestion to Indian seamers; he reminded them to use bouncers as well.

"I want to see aggressive bowling with defensive field set from Team India. Don’t forget to use bouncers," Irfan Pathan wrote.

Coming back to the match, Indian bowlers are looking desperate to take wickets as England's openers gained an early upper hand.  Chasing a tough 371 for victory, England were served by Duckett (64) and Zak Crawley (42) at the break with the hosts still 254 runs adrift of the target.

Apart from Jasprit Bumrah,  the other Indian pacers, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur were erratic and gave enough freebies for England batters, who were more than happy to oblige.

The best moment for the Indian bowling unit, of course, was produced by Bumrah when he beat the defence of Duckett with a lovely off-cutter.

Unfortunately, the second-line pacers did not come anywhere close to creating their own moment of magic, and remained ordinary.

Duckett and Crawley, who have together scored over 2000 runs as Test openers, pounced on anything short or full to essay cuts, pulls and drives as England's innings gained considerable steam, milking 96 runs in the first session after resuming from an overnight 21 for no loss.

While writing this copy, the rain had stopped the play, and the players went back to the dressing room. Both openers Ben Duckett (105*) and Zak Crawley (59*) are steady for the chase. England needs 190 runs to win the opener clash.
