Prabhsimran Singh sends message to selectors with 2nd consecutive century after getting dropped from T20I squad

Dropped without getting to make his T20I debut on Zimbabwe tour, Prabhsimran Singh has sent message to the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee and the team management with two consecutive centuries in the ongoing Sher-e-Punjab T20 League 2026. After an unbeaten 47-ball 125 in the run chase against Abhishek Sharma's Amritsar Soormas, the Jalandhar Warriors captain scored a 56-ball 110 against Bathinda Royals at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, on September 3. His second century of the season came in a three-run win over Uday Saharan-led Royals.

Prabhsimran slams ton after slow start, Ashwani bags 4-fer

After winning the toss in the day game, Royals skipper Saharan opted to bowl first. Jalandhar Warriors couldn't make the most of powerplay overs and lost two wickets. After six overs, Prabhsimran had faced 12 balls and scored 14 runs. Another wicket fell and Jalandhar Warriors were 73/3 at the halfway stage. Prabhsimran was batting on a run-a-ball 26. He hit the first six of his innings in the 11th over. In the 13th over, he smashed Abir Kohli for a hat-trick of sixes to reach his half-century from 35 balls.

Aryan Yadav broke the shackles as well and Bathinda Royals faced attack from both ends. In the 17th over, Ashwani Kumar struck twice to dismiss Aryan and Sukhdeep Bajwa. Aryan scored 39 runs from 19 balls whereas Bajwa smashed a six from two balls he faced. In the 18th over, Prabhsimran reached his ton from 53 deliveries. Ashwani struck twice in the penultimate over as well. Prabhsimran fell for a 56-ball 110 featuring 10 fours and seven sixes. In the final over, Shahbaz Singh got two wickets to bowl out Jalandhar Warriors for 205 with three balls left in the innings.

Saharan’s knock in vain, Royals lose last-ball thriller

In the run chase, Harnoor Singh didn't get support from his opening partner. Rishabh Gupta lost his wicket to Gurvinder Singh Bhulla for a run-a-ball 17. Bathinda Royals were 48/1 after powerplay overs. In the ninth over, Harnoor lost his wicket to Emanjot Singh Chahal for a 29-ball 44. In his next over, Chahal struck again to dismiss Ridham Satyawan. Saharan tried to revive the run chase with three sixes and a four against Aryan, getting Royals past 100 in the 12th over.

Noorveer Singh was run out whereas Gourav Choudhary was dismissed for a golden duck. Meanwhile, Saharan reached his half-century from 24 balls. Shahbaz Singh Sandhu went ballistic as well, giving Royals a chance in the run chase. In the final over, they needed 16 runs to win. Randeep Singh held his nerves to dismiss Sandhu who scored 26 runs from 13 balls. Saharan hit a six and a four before he was dismissed for a 43-ball 86. Ashwani couldn't hit a six off the last ball as Warriors won the match by three runs. This was Jalandhar Warriors' second win from three games.
