India vs England 2nd Test: Indian veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja revealed the team's plan for Day 3 of the second Test match against England. Jadeja, who stitched a 203-run stand alongside skipper Ravindra Jadeja that helped the side to go past 500 runs. Jadeja said that the side will look to pick 2-3 wickets on Day 3 of the second test before lunch.
Gill's historic 269 off 387 balls in his debut series as Test captain helped India to post a mammoth 587 all out before the inexperienced Indian pace attack delivered upfront to dismantle England's top-order to reduce the hosts to 77 for three at stumps on day two.

"We are not thinking too far ahead. We will have to take 2-3 wickets before lunch tomorrow. If we do that, then we will definitely be ahead in the game. Results can be anything. There have been big partnerships in cricket in the past. We will not take the game too lightly. We were playing with energy today. Hopefully, we will get a good result in India's favour" said Ravindra Jadeja in a press conference after Day 2 of second Test.
Gill and Jadeja's 203-run stand for the 6th wicket was the second-highest partnership for the 6th wicket by an Indian pair against England at Edgbaston.
Coming back to the match, Joe Root (18 batting off 37) and Harry Brook (30 batting off 53) managed to shift the momentum a little after the hosts lost three wickets for 25 runs.
England bowlers were struggling to get help from the surface but the visitors found swing and seam. Playing his first international Test in England, Akash Deep struck twice in as many balls to cap off a perfect day for his team before Mohammed Siraj made it even better by having Zak Crawley caught at first slip.
After Siraj's masterclass, Akash Deep got the ball to seam away on both occasions, resulting in dismissals of the dangerous Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope in his second over.
