IND vs ENG: India drop Manchester defeat's villain in 3rd T20I, Prince Yadav comes in; Playing XIs revealed

India won the toss and elected to bowl first against England in the third T20I at the Trent Bridge on July 7. Trailing 0-1 in the five-match series, India made a big change in their playing XI for the key clash. They dropped Ravi Bishnoi to make space for Prince Yadav. Ravi faced the music for being expensive in the Manchester outing as he conceded 29 runs in an over at the crucial juncture of the match, which tilted the game in England's favour. Meanwhile, England didn't make any changes in their final XI.

What did the captains say at the toss?

After winning the toss, India captain Shreyas Iyer announced his decision to bowl first. He addressed a previous setback, dismissing it as an uncontrollable hiccup, and emphasized that the team remains in high spirits. Iyer noted that every player experiences such challenging phases, viewing it as a valuable learning opportunity for Ravi Bishnoi and the entire team. Assessing the pitch, he described it as a beautiful wicket and announced that Prince Yadav would be stepping into the playing XI to replace Bishnoi.

On the other side, England skipper Harry Brook admitted he was undecided but would have preferred to bat first after losing the toss. He expressed strong confidence in his squad, stating that they never feel out of any contest. Highlighting the competitive nature of the fixture, Brook remarked that every match against India, or any other nation, is a massive occasion, and made it clear that England's goal is to go up 2-0 in the series.
